akstan: this evening our apt had it’s own little olympic medal ceremony. for our ceremony, casey and i made olympic ring sugar cookies. gold medals were given out for important things like, most sensual and best tv team player. to make it official we had the olympic theme song playing and of course the real olympics on in the background.  perfect sunday night.  I saw the idea for the cookies on pinterest. we used a sugar cookie recipe i found online, separated the dough into 5 bowls and dyed with food coloring (we made black by mixing all the colors) and made the rings using measuring bowls. super simple.  i’ve been giving amy a hard time lately for pinterest-ing, making mood  boards, etc. but i gotta hand it to her—these cookies made for a really good sunday afternoon and night. by the way, full list of winners below: sam: most sensual, most giving lisa: best team tv spirit, best summer roommate lindsay: the perfect storm, most hard-working and at the last minute, i awarded amy: best sense of humor amy and i hadn’t prepared to give each other any medals, so i walked away empty-handed. but that’s alright, because being selfless is really the best reward of all, wouldn’t you say?
